I am a cognitive scientist studying how people control their behaviour in complex and changing environments. My research examines how we determine what is most important at a given moment, what to remember and what to ignore, and how proactive anticipation supports these processes. I am particularly interested in how these abilities develop and change across the adult lifespan
I completed my doctorate in Cognitive Neuropsychology at the University of Oxford, where I held a Marie Curie Doctoral Fellowship and developed expertise in cognitive assessment. I subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Kia Nobre’s Brain and Cognition Lab at the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity, focusing on the dynamic aspects of human performance. I was appointed Departmental Lecturer in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford, specialising in developmental sciences and cognition across the lifespan. During this period, I also held a Research Fellowship at Wolfson College and taught at St Hugh’s and Jesus Colleges. In October 2023, I established the Lifespan Cognitive Development Lab at the University of Haifa.
Lecturer in Psychology, Ruppin Academic Center | Postdoctoral Researcher
My research examines visual statistical learning (VSL), the incidental detection of regularities in the visual environment, and how it is shaped by emotional information. I study how attention, prediction, and memorability influence learning, and how these processes change with age.
Ocupational Therapist Specializing in Ageing | Postdoctoral Researcher
My postdoctoral research explores working memory as a flexible, self-regulated system. Through immersive and mobile virtual reality, I examine how older adults with and without cognitive concerns use memory in naturalistic tasks, aiming to clarify early cognitive decline and everyday functioning.
Occupational Therapist | Gerontologist |PhD Student in Neurobiology
My research examines the impact and contribution of cognitive and physical training on cognitive performance and abilities among people over the age of 60.
Lawyer |Gerontologist |
PhD Student in Gerontology
My research focuses on understanding the acceptance of change in later life. I investigates how individuals come to accept these changes, and how acceptance may develop or shift across the lifespan.
Occupational Therapist | M.A Student in Cogntive Psycology
My research focuses on visual working memory processes and age-related cognitive changes, using VR to simulate realistic task environments. I’m passionate about linking clinical practice with with research to better understand cognition across the lifespan.
SPSS Instructor |M.A Student in Cognitive Psychology
My research focuses on attentional processes across the lifespan, with an emphasis on age-related changes in attentional resources and those preserved in ageing. I explore how statistical learning may help compensate for cognitive decline.
M.A Student in Audiology Speech Pathology
I compare performance on auditory and visual working-memory tasks with and without hearing aids to test whether amplification reduces cognitive load and frees central resources in real time.
